We’re just one month away from the 10th Annual Captain Steve Berry Memorial Golf Outing!

There’s still time to support this incredible event by becoming a hole sponsor. For just $100, your business or organization will be recognized on the course with a sign featuring your name and logo while helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Proceeds from the outing help first responders facing cancer, serious illness, or injury, and provide scholarships for local students.

Join us on July 24 at Marengo Ridge Golf Club as we celebrate Captain Steve Berry’s legacy and continue supporting those who serve. Thank you to everyone who has already stepped up to help make this year’s outing a success.

Do you shut down your computer before going home?

Modern computers are designed to run for long periods, but like any electrical device, they can develop faults due to damaged components, overheating, poor ventilation, power surges, or aging electrical parts.

Review this list of hazards from firenuzzle before leaving your computer on when you leave.

Severe weather is ongoing across parts of the state this afternoon and into this evening. It's important to have multiple ways to receive warnings. Make sure to know where to go when a warning is issued.

⚡🔌 Power outages can happen at any time, but using a generator safely is critical.

✔️ Always operate generators outdoors and at least 20 feet away from doors, windows, and vents.
✔️ Never use a generator inside a home, garage, basement, or enclosed space.
✔️ Make sure you have working carbon monoxide alarms installed in your home.

A generator can provide power during an outage, but improper use can quickly become deadly. Stay safe and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
