This is Spartanburg County and is not the City of Union natural gas lines.

Attention Customers:
We have been made aware of text messages that are being circulated among our customers stating there is a gas leak in their area and for them to evacuate their homes. Please be advised the City of Union has not sent out any text messages regarding this and we have not been made aware of any potential threats within the City of Union natural gas lines.

The 2026 Public Safety Day👮‍♂️and Youth Fishing Rodeo 🐟 was a success! 🎉

Several youth received a lifetime fishing license for catching a tagged fish. Others went home with dinner. And still others with great memories.

Thank you to all those who sponsored or volunteered at this annual event. Because at the end of the day, it wasn't about fishing... it was about creating memories that will last long after the lines were reeled in.

Yesterday was a great day on the water! Our utility and public safety crews helped bait hooks and cast lines for members of our special needs community as they went after the biggest fish in the pond.
We'll do it all again tomorrow. Plan to join us for the Public Safety Day Youth Fishing Rodeo. A free event open to the public at Foster Park. Registration starts at 8am with fishing from 9am-noon. Lunch and prizes served by City of Union Public Safety.
