🚧📚 It's official — DeKalb Public Library is now closed for renovation!

This is a project that has been a long time coming, and while it's bittersweet to close our doors for a while, we're incredibly excited about what's ahead. The improvements being made will help us better serve our community for years to come.

The library is expected to remain closed until sometime in 2027. We know that's a long time, and we appreciate your patience and support throughout this process.

We'll continue to share updates, photos, and any new information as it becomes available. Thank you for being part of our library family, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to a brand-new and improved library in the future!

Stay tuned for updates! ❤️📚🏗️

We want to give a big thank you to Elliot Fackler from the Hattiesburg Zoo for coming out and helping make our Summer Reading event such a fun experience! 🦕📚

The kids had an amazing time meeting King Arthur the Speckled King Snake, Taco the African Gray Parrot, and even the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. There were lots of smiles, questions, and excitement all around.

We truly appreciate the Hattiesburg Zoo taking the time to visit Union Public Library and help us kick off our summer with such a memorable program! 💚✨
