The Township of Union is deeply saddened to share that one of our resident families, the Bellosos, has experienced an unimaginable tragedy. While traveling out of state, their vehicle was involved in a severe accident. All three of the family's children suffered major injuries and remain hospitalized in Florida.

As Orlando and Wilmaris remain away from home to care for their children, our community is stepping up to help mitigate the devastating financial strain of medical expenses and long-term lodging.

The flowers are blooming, and the energy in Union Center is high! May is officially here, and our "Days of the Month" calendar is packed with reasons to celebrate, honor, and support our local community. There is plenty to do in Union Center this month.

• May 1–7: National Small Business Week – This is the ultimate time to show our local entrepreneurs some extra love! Stop by your favorite Union Center shops and let them know how much they mean to the community.

• May 5: Cinco de Mayo – It’s a Taco Tuesday for the ages! Celebrate at our local Mexican restaurants and eateries for the best festive flavors in town.

• May 10: Mother's Day – Don't wait until the last minute to find that perfect gift for Mom! Our local businesses and florists have everything you need to make her day special.

• May 15: International Day of Families – Celebrate your loved ones with a family dinner at one of our local restaurants. It’s a great excuse to reconnect over a delicious meal in the heart of town.

The community has spoken, and we are thrilled to announce that we will be screening Brazil vs. Scotland for the first watch party of our Wednesday Night Summer Series!

Join us on June 24th at 6:00 PM on Stuyvesant Avenue for an unforgettable kickoff to the season. To celebrate the winning match, we will feature a special Brazilian halftime performance including Samba and Capoeira!
