5/20/26 @ 15:30hrs UGFR was toned to assist Buck Shoals Vol Fire Dept, Lone Hickory Volunteer Fire Department & West Yadkin Fire Dept for an outside fire threatening a structure. Arriving units found a large illegal burn that had gotten out of control. UGFR personnel assisted with bringing the fire under control.

5/17/26 @ 15:50 hrs UGFR was toned to assist Wilkes-Iredell VFD along with Central Fire Department & North Iredell Rescue Squad for a reported structure fire on Nicholson Hill Dr. First arriving personnel advised a working structure fire with several mowers and vehicles in the structure. Lone Hickory Volunteer Fire Department & Broadway Fire Department were called for assistance due to the high temperatures and lack of water close by. E-2 and T-1 arrived and deployed multiple attack lines and established a water supply. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes of arrival. Great job by all units on scene!

🔥🔥🔥WORKING FIRE🔥🔥🔥

16:01 hrs 100 Blk of Nicholson Hill Dr assisting Wilkes-Iredell VFD. Multiple departments operated for an hour and a half to control a shed fire. All units are now clear.

5/14/26 @ 20:31 hrs UGFR was toned to assist Buck Shoals Vol Fire Dept for a MVC on I-77NB near the 70mm inside Yadkin County. Arriving units found the accident to be at the 68mm NB in Iredell. A passenger vehicle had struck a “Bumper” truck that was assisting with a line painting operation. Northbound traffic was impacted for about an hour.

5/12/26 @ 17:41hrs UGFR with assistance from North Iredell Rescue Squad and Iredell County Emergency Medical Service were toned to a reported MVC in the 2800 Blk of W Memorial Hwy. E-2 arrived to find a single vehicle that had rolled and came to rest back on its wheels. Thankful for only minor injuries!
