Today, we pause to reflect on a day that forever changed our nation.

25 years later, the memories of September 11th still remind us of the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the incredible courage shown by so many first responders and ordinary Americans who stepped forward when their country needed them most.

Two years ago, I had the life-changing experience of visiting the 9/11 Memorial. Standing there surrounded by the names of those who never made it home, was something I will never forget. It put into perspective the magnitude of that day in a way that words simply cannot describe.

Today, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, honor the first responders who ran toward danger, and remember the countless people whose lives were forever impacted.

We will never forget their names.
We will never forget their sacrifice.
We will never forget September 11, 2001

We would like to formally invite all members of the County Commission to join us for a tour of the county jail.

It is vital for our local leadership to see firsthand the current state of our facilities, including the extent of physical damage, structural wear and the daily conditions faced by both staff and inmates.

Transparent communication and direct observation are key to making informed decisions for the future safety, security and infrastructure of our community.

Please reach out directly to schedule a suitable time for your walkthrough. We look forward to engaging in a productive dialogue.
