June 1 is National Say Something Nice Day, a reminder that words have power. A kind word can restore hope, offer encouragement, and remind someone they are not alone.
For women veterans facing homelessness, housing insecurity, or the challenges of rebuilding life after military service, compassion matters. Many have spent years serving others, yet too often find themselves struggling in silence.
That is why I support Final Salute, Inc., whose mission is to provide homeless women veterans and their children with safe and suitable housing while helping them move toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Today, take a moment to say something kind. Offer encouragement. Share gratitude. Support a woman veteran. Sometimes the first step toward changing a life is helping someone feel seen, valued, and remembered.
Because no woman veteran should ever be forgotten or left behind.
