The City of Umatilla and the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for our first-ever Business Workshop, designed to help community members who are interested in starting a business learn where to begin.

Come meet Laura Torres with the Blue Mountain Small Business Development Center (SBDC), ask questions, learn about available resources, and connect with others in our community.

Today, on Patriot Day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday people who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the strength, compassion, and unity shown in the days that followed.

As a community, we honor their memory by looking out for one another, serving our neighbors, and remembering the resilience that can bring us together during even the most difficult times.

The City of Umatilla joins communities across the nation in remembrance of all those whose lives were lost or forever changed on September 11, 2001.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Hoy, en el Día de los Patriotas, hacemos una pausa para recordar a quienes perdieron la vida el 11 de septiembre de 2001 y honrar el valor de los socorristas, de los miembros de las fuerzas armadas y de la gente común que dieron un paso al frente ante la tragedia.

Veinticinco años después, seguimos recordando la fortaleza, la compasión y la unidad que se demostraron en los días posteriores.

Umatilla Public Library - OR is inviting families to connect, learn, and have fun at Bilingual Storytime on September 10 at 10:00 AM.

This program brings stories to life in English and Spanish through reading, movement, music, and hands-on crafts. Children and their families can enjoy a welcoming space to experience both languages, build early literacy skills, get creative, and spend time together.

All are welcome to participate and enjoy the fun!

NOTICE: ODOT Marina Mobilization & Umatilla Bridge Repairs – September 10–30🚧

ODOT Mobilization at Umatilla Marina
Beginning Thursday, September 10, at approximately 7:00 AM, ODOT crews will assemble a barge near the fuel dock and Dock A to support upcoming repairs to the Umatilla Bridge on Highway 730. A safety perimeter will be established around the work area.

The marina boat ramp will remain open and operational. Boaters and visitors should use extra caution and give crews plenty of room to work.

Umatilla Bridge Repairs
Repairs to the Umatilla Bridge on Highway 730 are expected to take approximately 2–3 weeks. During this time, bridge traffic may be intermittently reduced to one lane. Please watch for posted signs and traffic control.

ODOT plans to retrieve the barge and equipment on September 29–30, which may result in additional marina activity.

Movilización de ODOT en la marina de Umatilla
A partir del jueves 10 de septiembre, aproximadamente a las 7:00 AM, los equipos de ODOT instalarán una barcaza cerca del muelle de combustible y del muelle A para apoyar las próximas reparaciones del puente de Umatilla en la Carretera 730. Se establecerá un perímetro de seguridad alrededor de la zona de trabajo.

La rampa para embarcaciones de la marina permanecerá abierta y operativa. Se recomienda a los navegantes y visitantes que tengan mucho cuidado y dejen suficiente espacio para que los equipos puedan trabajar.

Reparaciones del puente de Umatilla
Se espera que las reparaciones del puente de Umatilla en la Carretera 730 duren entre 2 y 3 semanas. Durante este tiempo, el tráfico en el puente podría reducirse intermitentemente a un solo carril. Por favor, presten atención a las señales colocadas y al control de tráfico.

El ODOT planea retirar la barcaza y el equipo del 29 al 30 de septiembre, lo que podría generar actividad adicional en la marina.

Reminder: Umatilla River Road Community Clean-Up is tomorrow!

Join us Wednesday, September 9, as we come together to clean up Umatilla River Road. Volunteer check-in begins at 8:45 AM, with the clean-up from 9:00–10:30 AM. Closed-toed shoes or sturdy boots are recommended, and PPE will be provided by the City.

Traffic Reminder: Umatilla River Road will be CLOSED to through traffic within the clean-up area from 8:30–11:30 AM, with access limited to residents within the closure area.

Thank you to everyone volunteering their time to help clean up our community!

Acompáñenos este miércoles 9 de septiembre para ayudar a limpiar Umatilla River Road. El registro de voluntarios comienza a las 8:45 AM y la limpieza será de 9:00 a 10:30 AM. Downtown Revitalization Grant Applications Are Now Open!🏙️
The City of Umatilla is offering $5,000–$25,000 in grant funding to support eligible improvements and investments in our Downtown District. The program can reimburse up to 75% of eligible project costs and is available to qualifying property owners and business tenants.
