Come check out our yard sale.
We were honored to receive a generous donation from an estate, which we will sell to help fund another low cost spay/neuter clinic for our community at the request of the donor.

Pictures of just a few of the items are in comments. (We have multiple TVs, arcade games, clothing, china cabinets, electric fireplaces, desks, dressers, freezers, decorations, kitchen items, tools, guitar, books, games and more!) Everything is in GREAT shape.

This home also had a private arcade room and we have all the fixings to start an arcade room for yourself ( games, rugs, stools, wall decor!)

Temporary detour planned during paving operations on U.S. 160 in Ulysses

As resurfacing work continues along U.S. 160 in Ulysses, the Kansas Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect a temporary city detour during concrete paving operations the week of June 8.

During paving, traffic will be detoured from U.S. 160 via North Stubbs Road to Industrial Avenue to South Missouri Street. The detour is expected to last approximately 8 to 10 hours and will be removed once paving equipment is clear and driving lanes have been swept. Motorists should plan accordingly and watch for detour signage and advanced warning signs in the area. This detour is necessary to allow the contractor to pour mainline concrete pavement.

All other previously announced project restrictions remain in effect, including the 11-foot width and 75-foot length vehicle restriction and the reduced speed limit through the work zone.

Vogts-Parga Construction LLC, of Moundridge, is the contractor on this $2.5 million resurfacing project, which is anticipated to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.

The City of Ulysses is hiring a part-time Assistant to support the Treasurer's Office.

This position focuses primarily on data entry, records management, and general office organization, while also helping maintain and improve administrative systems and processes.

We're looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with computers and Excel, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly.

NOTICE – CITY UTILITY BILLING UPDATE

City Utility Billing is now fully back on schedule. The entire city is now on the same monthly billing cycle.

Monthly Billing Schedule:
• Bills are sent on or around the 10th of each month.
• Payments are due on the 25th of each month.
• Late penalties are added on the 26th of each month for unpaid balances.
• Water service will be shut off on the 5th of the following month if the bill remains unpaid.
(If the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday, shutoffs occur on the next business day.)

Important Temporary Grace Period:
• All current balances are due by February 25th.
• Accounts enrolled in ACH will be drafted on February 25th for the full balance due.
• The City Council has temporarily paused late penalties and shutoffs until March 25th to allow residents time to catch up.

What Happens Next:
• Late penalties will resume on March 26th.
• Shutoffs will resume on April 6th.

• Las facturas se envian alrededor del dia 10 de cada mes.
• Los pagos vencen el dia 25 de cada mes.

• El servicio de agua sera suspendido el dia 5 del mes siguiente si la factura no ha sido pagada.

The Ulysses Animal Shelter is offering FREE pet food to help supplement families in need. Today at 230 pm at the Grant Co. Civic Center. This food is for owned pets only, with a limit of up to three pets per household.

If you’re having a tough time keeping your furry family members fed, we’re here to help. Please help us spread the word so this reaches those who need it most 💙

*we have mostly dog food and a very limited supply of cat food*
