Pssst! What are you doing on Tuesday, June 16?
Consider joining MCRCD Project Interpreters Marisela and “Ranger Amy” at the Willits Bypass Mitigation Area to cool off in the creek mid-week! After a half-mile walk, we will find a spot in the shade of the willows to relax and bird watch — and — for the young and adventurous, to venture into the waters to see if we can find bugs, fish, frogs, and more. We will provide nets and magnifiers to get a closer look at aquatic creatures. If you plan to go in the creek, bring an extra pair of shoes (water shoes or old tennis shoes are great choices) and clothes that can get wet or muddy. Families with kids are very welcome, but please be aware that strollers are not advisable on the 1/2 mile walk.
We will meet at Mendocino County Museum at 10:00 AM and return by 1:00 PM. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water.
RSVP required by emailing [email protected] or texting Ranger Amy at (369) 216-9990.
