If you receive an unexpected call claiming to be from USCIS:
Do not provide personal, financial, or immigration-related information,
Be cautious of anyone who pressures you to act immediately or threatens negative consequences, and
Hang up and contact USCIS through official channels if you have questions about your case or immigration benefits.

Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) is closely monitoring recent federal announcements that may impact healthcare and social service programs across California, including funding connected to the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program.

Recent federal actions include the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) decision to delay more than $1 billion in Medicaid reimbursements to California as part of broader anti-fraud initiatives. Federal officials also announced a temporary six-month pause on new Medicare enrollment for hospices and home health agencies.

At this time, IHSS services in Mendocino County continue without interruption.
