On March 21, 2026 at 1732 hours, Officer Trench initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 10500 block of Camino Real for speeding 73 MPH in a posted 55 MPH speed zone. Upon contact with the driver, it was discovered he had multiple felony drug warrants out of Hays County. During an incident to arrest search a $20 bill located in the driver‘s front right pocket contained a small amount of crystal like substance which field tested positive for positive for methamphetamine. The driver was arrested on the multiple warrants, and additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, and violate bond conditions. He was issued a citation for the speeding, and open container.

On March 21, 2026 at 2:12 PM, Officer Hernandez initiated a traffic stop at the 2300 block of High Rd. for speeding, 78 mph in a posted 40 mph zone. The driver did not have a drivers license. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and .48 grams of co***ne was located. The driver was arrested and transported to the Hays County jail for possession of a controlled substance, and cited for speeding and no drivers license.

Cotton Gin Road in Uhland, TX, will close in both directions just east of Summer Sun Cove from March 9, 2026, through May 26, 2026, for drainage and road improvements. Traffic will be detoured via N. Plum Creek Road and High Road.
Work hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Saturday.

On 2/28/2026 while Officers were conducting traffic enforcement on GristMill Rd. A vehicle was stopped for speeding 55/35 mph zone. The driver was arrested for Violation of a Protective Order and transported to Hays County Jail. The vehicle was impounded. The protected person was released to her parent.

Corporal Munoz and Officer Rodriguez are working a major collision on Hwy 21 in front of Whataburger. Injuries and at least one person being transported, both lanes closed. Use caution when traveling in the area.

On February 16, 2026, Officer Trench made a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Camino Real for speeding, 74 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. After further investigation the driver had three active warrants out of Hays County JP #1. An incident to arrest search was done on the vehicle, a loaded 38 special revolver was located in the glove compartment. The driver was a convicted felon and he was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by felon. Driver was booked into the Hays County Jail.
