Traffic Advisory – I-99 Southbound 17:21

Station 36 and Department 31 are operating on the scene of a motor vehicle crash on I-99 Southbound at Mile Marker 48.4, just past the McCoy Street Bridge, on Box Alarm 99-9.

At this time, no injuries have been reported. Traffic has been reduced to one lane while crews work to investigate the crash and clear the scene.

The members of the Bald Eagle Volunteer Fire Company extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family, friends, and brothers and sisters of Officer Kristen Yeager and the Central Berks Regional Police Department during this heartbreaking time.

Officer Yeager tragically lost her life while responding to assist on a call in Berks County when her patrol vehicle was involved in a crash. Her dedication to serving and protecting her community will never be forgotten.

We also keep all involved parties, first responders, and the entire Berks County community in our thoughts as they navigate this tragic loss.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Rest easy, Officer Yeager — . ❤️🤍💙🚔
