PSA: If you visit Ironwood Park, please use caution around the orange barrels in the pickleball court parking lot. There is a killdeer nest on the ground with four eggs in it. As the killdeer is a migratory bird, it is protected under law. There are barrels and caution tape around it in hopes that people will leave it alone, so please leave the barrels and nest/eggs alone. You can peek, but do not touch!

If you see the bird near its nest, it may look like it has a broken wing. This is its defense to lure you away from its nest.

Photos of the eggs taken this morning after the area was roped off, and pictures of the bird so you know it when you see it.
