🚗 Traffic Update – Tylertown Primary School Car Pick-Up & Drop-Off 🚗

Beginning Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the Tylertown Primary School traffic pattern will be as follows:

Student Pick-Up:
The pick-up line will begin on Ball Avenue in front of the Vo-Tech building. Drivers should enter the line by coming from Holmes Street off Union Road (Highway 27) and then proceed to Ball Avenue.

Student Drop-Off:
We will attempt to use the original drop-off route each morning. However, if traffic begins backing up onto Highway 27, the drop-off route will be changed to follow the same route as the afternoon pick-up line. If you arrive and see the drop-off line backed up to Highway 27, please proceed to the pick-up route by entering from Holmes Street off Union Road (Highway 27) and following the designated traffic pattern.

⚠️ Please Note:
• No vehicles will be allowed to enter from the original car pick-up line if they are picking up a student.
• The afternoon pick-up line will be a one-way traffic flow.
• Please be mindful of nearby driveways and the Vo-Tech entrance. Do not block these areas so residents can access their driveways and buses can safely enter and exit the Vo-Tech facility.
• Please follow the directions of school staff and law enforcement officers who are assisting with traffic.

🚨 Traffic & Parking Update – 2026 Dairy Festival 🚨
📅 Saturday, June 6, 2026
📍 Tylertown, MS

Please take note of an important traffic and parking update for this year’s Walthall County Dairy Festival. To ensure a safe and efficient experience for all attendees, ALL festival traffic must enter via Highway 48 East at the Event Center entrance, following the same traffic pattern used last year.

🔹 No public entry will be permitted at the front entrance of Holmes Water Park.
🔹 The front entrance will be reserved for emergency and official use only – including Police, Fire, EMS, and traffic control.
🔹 All attendees – including vendors, car show participants, and guests – must use the Event Center entrance.
🔹 Handicap parking will be located on A Field and accessed from the Event Center side.
🔹 Vendors will enter near the playground and be directed to their assigned setup areas.

🅿️ Inside the park parking will be utilized by vendors only, allowing them closer access to their setup locations and helping eliminate unnecessary vehicle traffic throughout the day.
🚗 All other guests will park in the Event Center parking area or on a nearby ball field as directed.

⏰ Vendor setup must be completed by 7:30 AM.
After this time, vehicle traffic will be restricted inside the park until the festival concludes and takedown begins.

🚫 Reminder: No pets are allowed inside the festival grounds. This policy helps ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.

🛑❗️Attention 18 wheeler Drivers
🚧 Traffic Alert / Community Notice 🚧

Arts on Beulah Festival will take place Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Road Closure: Beulah Ave will be blocked off for the event from the red light to Ginn Street beside the post office.

Important for 18-wheeler drivers: You will NOT be able to pass through town eastbound or westbound on Hwy 198 during the event. If you get past Sonic, there will be no place to turn around.

✅ Northbound and southbound traffic on Hwy 27 will remain open.
