The first batch of new asphalt under the 2026 Asphalt Enhancement Project was laid this week on Sunnybrook Avenue from Green Street to 10th Street. The work also included safety improvements for drivers on Sunnybrook by removing the infamous humps at the intersections with North Azalea Drive and Camellia Street. Sunnybrook will also receive new striping that will add a dedicated bike lane.

Other work completed on the project includes pavement base repairs, curb and gutter replacements, new valley gutters, and replacement driveway aprons along multiple streets throughout the City. In the coming weeks and months, those same streets will also receive brand-new asphalt surfaces.
