The Watkins - Logan Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler is currently accepting resident applications for eligible Veterans, spouses, and Gold Star Parents in Texas.

Note: Eligible Veterans with a 70% or more service-connected disability rating will live in the home at no cost.

This long-term care home features 10 individual cottages with 10 private rooms per cottage to comfortably accommodate 100 residents.

All of the Texas State Veterans Homes are Texas-owned and regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Commissioner Buckingham is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for potential future residents at the Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home (TSVH) in Tyler.

This long-term care home has a unique design with 10 individual cottages featuring 10 private rooms each, to accommodate 100 Veterans total.

All of our Texas State Veterans Homes are Texas-owned and regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Texas VLB has an on-site representative in each home to ensure our distinguished long-term residents get the best possible care.

We will be honoring our Veterans and all the brave men and women of the U.S. Military who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Texans, let's show some love to our Veterans this Valentine's Day! ❤️

Commissioner Buckingham is encouraging everyone to participate in the VLB's "Valentines for Vets" campaign.

Help us honor and show our appreciation to the brave men and women who served our country by mailing a Valentine's card to the Veterans who reside in any of the 10 Texas State Veterans Homes.

All cards should be postmarked by February 10th and include 'Valentines for Vets' in the mailing address.

We are excited to welcome our Veterans and their families, our employees & their families, and our surrounding community to come visit the Watkins-Logan TSVH on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a meet and greet with the Grinch & Friends!

Visit with Santa and give him your Christmas wish list, enjoy some Christmas refreshments, and create memories with our photo crew (individual and family pictures are a great way to remember the holidays).

We also want to encourage you to check out our Veterans Angel Tree and choose a Veteran to sponsor this season and/or choose a house to sponsor throughout the upcoming year.

We greatly thank you for all that you do to support our Veterans and their families!

Let's make this Christmas season special for our Texas Veterans! 🎁

Commissioner Buckingham encourages Texans to adopt a Veteran this Christmas season by participating in Angel Tree donations at the VLB's Texas State Veterans Homes.

Every year, our Veterans homes display an Angel Tree for Veterans to share their Christmas lists with their community.

You can visit one of our participating Veterans homes, select an angel from the tree, and provide the Veteran's gift by the specified deadline.
