🐝 Sunday Bee Fact!

Honey bees and bumble bees carry pollen in special smooth areas on their hind legs called pollen baskets, or corbiculae. They pack pollen together with a little nectar into colorful pellets to carry home.

Just as bees gather pollen from many flowers, Bonner students and staff bring their knowledge and experiences together—broadening our perspectives and helping new learning grow! 🌱

Next time you see a bee on a flower, look for tiny yellow or orange bundles on its back legs!

Honey bees communicate through movement! A worker bee can perform a “waggle dance” to show other bees the direction and distance of a good food source.

Great teams communicate clearly—and at Bonner, we work together toward a common goal: working with our community to prepare our Bees for a bright future!
