Jackson Street Build Update

Exciting progress continues at our new home build on W. Jackson Street in Tyler.

This week, crews completed HVAC and plumbing rough-ins, bringing us one step closer to providing a safe, affordable home for a local family. These essential systems are now in place, helping transform a framed structure into a future home.

Next week, work will continue with roofing installation, another major milestone in the construction process.

Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners who make projects like this possible. We look forward to sharing more progress as this home continues to take shape.

Together, we're building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

The Jackson Street build reached new heights today—literally! 🙌🏠

We're incredibly thankful to the Trane Volunteer Team for rolling up their sleeves and helping us put up trusses. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to our mission helped make this exciting milestone possible.

A special thank you to Barb Carter and the team at Chick-fil-A on Troup Highway for providing breakfast and helping our volunteers start the day strong. Community partners like these make days like today possible and remind us how much can be accomplished when people come together for a great cause.

Thank you, Trane, for investing in our community and helping build strength, stability, and hope for a future homeowner!

Jackson Street Build Update

Things are about to get exciting on West Jackson Street.

We want to thank Wood Shed Truss in Mineola for supplying the trusses for our build. This delivery marked a big step forward, and now we’re ready for what comes next.

This will be our third home built on Jackson Street, and there is another home planned for the future on this same street as well. It’s incredible to see this neighborhood continue to grow through community support.

We also want to take a moment to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. This project truly happens because of you. Every hour given, every dollar donated, and every word of encouragement helps bring a local family closer to a safe and affordable home.

Tomorrow, we start rolling trusses.

A truss is the pre-built wooden framework that forms the shape and support of the roof. It’s what gives the roof its strength and structure, and once it’s set in place, you really start to see the house come together.

This is the stage where everything starts to rise, and the build becomes even more real. We’re looking forward to sharing that progress with you as it happens.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we’re building homes, community, and hope.
