Today is East Texas Giving Day, and we are thrilled to share that our nomination to recognize the Pollard Residential Historic District by the Texas Historical Commission and the National Register of Historic Places has been approved! Historic district designation is simply an acknowledgment of a neighborhood’s cultural and architectural value; it carries no additional restrictions and does not affect the rights of individual property owners.

Join us as we celebrate this honor for Tyler and hear remarks from city officials at Pollard Park on Monday, May 11 at 5:30 pm. We will provide resources to help homeowners understand the potential benefits this designation may offer.

Donors like you allow Historic Tyler to work on important projects like this. Historic preservation is one of the reasons Tyler is such a special place to live.
