Join us in welcoming Mr. Noah Prince!

Originally from Atlanta, Noah Prince lives in Savannah, GA with his wife and two wonderful toddlers. He will be entering his 6th year as a middle grades teacher, and first year as an ELA teacher! Mr. Prince has previously taught World Studies and has a background as a museum professional and history writer. He holds a BA in History, as well as an MS in Education and specialized training in historic interpretation. He was also the proud recipient of the Golden Phoenix Award for being top of his class in his Teach Savannah Learning Academy cohort.

Mr. Prince loves designing lessons that make the classroom come alive for students. He prides himself on creating learning experiences that turn into lifelong memories. Mr. Prince is an avid reader and writer, and is excited to bring those passions to the classroom as an ELA teacher. He can't wait to join the amazing TIMA team and teach on the beach!

❤️ Support for Fire Victims ❤️

The City of Tybee Island is collecting gift cards at City Hall to assist the families displaced by the recent fire on Jones Avenue.

Community members who would like to help can donate gift cards from grocery stores, restaurants, home improvement stores, gas stations, or major retailers. All donated gift cards will be distributed directly to the Simpson and Gulbronson families as they begin the difficult process of recovery and rebuilding.

Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours at Tybee Island City Hall, 403 Butler Avenue.

The outpouring of support from our community has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, offered assistance, and kept these families in your thoughts during this challenging time. Together, we can help our neighbors move forward. ❤️

TIMA would like to take this opportunity to welcome and introduce our new staff members for the 26-27 School Year!

Join us in welcoming Ms. Valerie Westphal!

Ms. Westphal is excited to be joining TIMA as a 2nd grade teacher. She looks forward to inspiring students through the project-based learning approach that makes TIMA such a special place to learn.

Ms. Westphal earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. This year marks her 21st year in elementary education, and she has had the privilege of teaching students in grades 1–4 throughout her career.

Ms. Westphal and her family moved from Indiana to the Savannah area ten years ago and have loved calling the Islands home ever since. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time at the beach, being on the water, and exploring all that coastal Georgia has to offer.

Ms. Westphal is honored to serve in this wonderful community and looks forward to meeting her students and families. She is excited for a fantastic year of learning, growth, and adventure!

Ms. Abbi Page is excited to be joining TIMA this upcoming school year as a first-grade teacher. This will be her fifth year in education. Ms. Page earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University, her master’s degree from Augusta University, and is currently working toward her Ed.S.

Outside of school, Ms. Page enjoys traveling, being on the water, staying active outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her sweet dachshund, Ellie. 😊

She is thrilled to become part of the TIMA family this year and cannot wait to meet her students and their families!

👏 Join us in welcoming Ms. Mary Arnold! 👏

🧮🔬 Ms. Arnold is excited to join TIMA as the new 6th Grade Math and Science Teacher. She and her husband are looking forward to beginning a new chapter in 🌴 Savannah after relocating from Nantucket, Massachusetts, this summer.

🎓 Ms. Arnold earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross and began her teaching career as a Teach For America corps member in Northwest Indiana, where she taught middle school science while pursuing her teaching certification and master's degree. Over the past ten years, she has taught middle school students in Boston and, most recently, Nantucket.

✨ Ms. Arnold is passionate about helping students grow as learners, build confidence in themselves, and better understand the world around them through 🧮 math and 🔬 science. She looks forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff who make ❤️ TIMA such a special place!

Post-planning at TIMA means the learning never stops! 🌊📚

This morning, Ms. Smith kicked things off by reburying a nest of sea turtle eggs 🐢🥚 — because protecting wildlife is all part of the job around here!

Then our hawk friend stopped by for a little backyard spa day, cooling off with a dip and soaking up the sunshine afterward 🦅
