So we have a potential new police chief with a storied past. Let’s let the town of Twisp do due diligence in checking all the facts.

Should Twisp continue looking for a police chief, partner with Winthrop or contract with the Sheriff’s office? Twisp contracted with the Sheriff’s Office about 12 years ago and it was a disaster so I have my concerns with that option.

Hopefully this K9 will still be able to serve Okanogan County. On a side note Terry, on the right, was also my K9 teacher/trainer. Good guy!

Anyone know why the jail is refusing to take some people? I thought that was going to end with the new administration?

According to the Methow Valley News, Twisp has contracted with the Sheriff’s Office for services. Curious to see how that goes. I know previously, before we hired our most recent chief, the town contracted with the sheriff’s office and it was a complete failure. Hopefully this round goes better. And hey, if you know anyone that wants to be a small town police chief send them our way!

Hello Methow Valley! I created this page to share information regarding law enforcement happenings in the Methow Valley. With Twisp no longer having a staffed police department and the Sheriff’s office removing the ability to comment on their posts I thought it might be helpful to have a separate page to share critical information (fire information for example). I learn more from citizens comments many times than I do from the original post. As they say, it takes a village! If you see something that is helpful to share to make us aware of incidents to keep us all safe please forward.
What this page is not is a place to criticize our local law enforcement agencies. Only to come together as a community and look out for one another.
