LOCK IN! It’s time to train! This course is a data-driven approach to firefighter rescue and survival, built around the findings of Project Mayday. Participants will examine real-world data to understand the “why” behind Mayday situations and the common factors that place firefighters in danger. Using this knowledge, the class blends research with hands-on application through realistic, scenario-based training. Students will be introduced to both proven methods and unconventional techniques, gaining a comprehensive perspective on rescue and survival strategies. The course culminates in high-intensity, victim-focused scenarios designed to challenge skills, decision-making, and teamwork under pressure.

Free to MVF members. $20 for non members.

WHAT AN AWESOME WEEKEND! firefighters participated in an intensive hands-on training that pushed skills, strength, and teamwork to the next level thanks to AOTC and their first due Nozzleman class! Crews rotated through high-impact evolutions including: Forcible Entry – mastering the art of getting in when it counts.
Hose Stretching – deploying lines efficiently under pressure.
Flowing and Moving – maintaining water on the fire while advancing with purpose.
Ladders – ground ladders went up quickly and safely, ensuring access and egress. Search – aggressive primary and secondary searches sharpened decision-making.
VES (Vent, Enter, Search) – putting training into action for rapid victim rescue.
🔥 Live Fire – realistic fire conditions tested everything from tactics to grit.

A huge thank you to all the students who showed up ready to work, learn, and improve. Your effort and dedication do not go unnoticed.

And a big shoutout to our instructors – your experience, leadership, and commitment to firefighter safety and excellence made this training a success. Without every single one of you, we could not of made this event happen, so thank you all! We’re proud of the work done here. Every rep builds readiness – and readiness saves lives. 👨‍🚒💪
