Archaeology focuses on past civilizations throughout the world and often looks at cultures that are vastly different from our own. Archaeology can enhance a student's understanding and appreciation of different cultural backgrounds. Students learn about other cultures as well as other geographic locations around the world. Through these studies they find that although cultural practices may differ, we are all the same in our humanity throughout the world.

This publication addresses the need for didactic material on using the microfading tester (MFT) in the cultural heritage field, with chapters on color science, MFT basics and practice, and lighting policy.

The MFT is an analytical technique used to determine an objectโ€™s light sensitivity. Introduced to the cultural heritage field by Paul M. Whitmore, Xun Pan, and Catherine Bailie in 1999, MFT rapidly induces and monitors color change by exposing the sample surface to a high-intensity, stable, and focused light spot, while simultaneously examining the affected area using a spectrophotometer.

Colosseum, arch of Constantine and other famous buildings, 360 panorama

We're standing to the south of the Colosseum and near the eastern facade of the arch of Constantine, which we're showing in full colour for the first time. Between the Colosseum and the Arch you can notice the Meta Sudans fountain, the temple of Venus and Roma behind it, and the Colossus Solis statue.
The 3D reconstruction depicts this area as it was in IV century CE.
