Combat Logistics Battalion 7

Combat Logistics Battalion 7 CLB-7 Coat Of Arms

A medieval dagger centered in the horizon of the desert sunset.

The dagger represents the battalion call sign "Dagger" and follows from the sword that was found in the battalion's previous CSSG-1 Coat of Arms. An Eagle, Globe, and Anchor is centered on the dagger's hilt symbolizing the battalion as a Marine Corps unit. The desert setting symbolizes the deserts of Kuwait and Iraq where the battalion provided "Combat Service Support-From One Desert to Another" d

uring operation Iraqi Freedom. In the center background of the crest, an M88 tank retriever tows an M1A1 Main Battle Tank and represents the battalion’s Support Company with the world's finest combat mechanics. In the crest's forefront an MTVR and LVS conduct a motorized transportation mission during combat operations. The mission was a hallmark of the battalion’s support during Operation Iraqi Freedom and remains a Mission Essential Task for the battalion today. In the rear of the crest, a Ch-53 helicopter flies through the sky transporting supplies to forward units. This symbolizes the flexibility of the battalion to provide support during combat and the battalion's ability to task capability for any mission. At the bottom of the scene marks the scroll, PREPARUS AD BELLUM, "Prepare for War"; SIRVIR EN PAX, "Serve in Peace." The six words in the unit's motto coincide with the six functions of combat service support. The top scroll displays the letters "CLB-7", the proud organization of highly skilled Marines and Sailors THAT STAND READY TO SUPPORT I MEF UNITS AT MCAGCC OR ANY FOREIGN SHORE
