As the City's Community Services Department, the Parks and Recreation staff provides a multitude of services and activities to the community. There are seasonal athletic programs, instructional classes, and a large array of activities that are available to youth and adults. The City of Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation Department's mission statement is to create community through people, parks, and programs.

OFFICIALLY ONE MONTH UNTIL PIONEER DAYS! 🌵🤠

The countdown is officially on! 🎉 The 90th Annual Pioneer Days, presented by Bowladium Family Fun Center, is just ONE MONTH AWAY — and we’re getting ready for a celebration you won’t want to miss!

From October 15–18, there will be something happening all weekend long, including:

🏫 Mixer at the historic Old Schoolhouse
🌴✨ Oasis Lights with music, vendors & fun
🎉 The Pioneer Days Parade
🎶 Live Concerts at Freedom Plaza
🏃 Pioneer Days 5K at Luckie Park
🐾 Pet Parade at Luckie Park
🚗 Car Show at Historic Plaza

HELP A KID KICK OFF SOCCER SEASON! 👟⚽

We know how quickly kids’ feet grow — and sometimes those cleats barely get a chance to be broken in! That’s why Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation is hosting a FREE Cleat Drive to help local children and families get ready for this year’s soccer season.

Have gently used cleats your child has outgrown? Donate them!
Need a pair for your young soccer player? Come pick some up — completely FREE!

Join us on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 AM to celebrate 90 years of Pioneer Days! A hometown tradition filled with floats, marching bands, classic cars, and more!!

Parade Route: Starting at City Hall and traveling to Split Rock Avenue 📍

How to Enter:

1. Review the Parade Entry Form and Parade Entry Requirements & Guidelines
2. Complete the parade entry form with all required information.
3. Submit the completed entry form according to the instructions provided.

The Little Pioneers Program is a special event just for our youngest community members, ages 4–6! These little contestants will have the chance to step into the spotlight and show off their personalities as they answer fun, age-appropriate questions about their favorite hobbies, pets, talents, and more! 🤠✨

Legomation Science is excited to be back offering its highly anticipated mechanical engineering class for ages 5-10. ⚛🤖🛠

Kids will team build movable LEGO gadgets while learning how real engineers solve problems. Each class brings new hands-on challenges, and the final session includes a custom gadget they get to keep.

Saturdays, September 5, 12, 19, 26 from 9 am to 10 am at Patriot Hall. Each class is $20 or $80 for the full program! 🎉🎉

Join the 29 Palms Run Club on Sunday, October 18 at Luckie Park for a fun morning of running, walking, and community spirit!

Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get moving, come join us! 👟

Preregistration is encouraged, but day-of sign-ups will also be available. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present and sign the waiver.
