“Striving for Safety”

September is National Preparedness Month and it is a time to ensure your safety with emergency supplies, plans and drills.
MCAGCC Mission Assurance will be hosting a National Preparedness and Su***de Awareness Day.

When- Tuesday, Sept. 24th, 2024
Where- MCX parking lot (mainside)
Time- 09:30am - 04:00pm

This event will be accompanied by various units aboard the installation along with departments from San Bernardino County.

Combat Center Fire Department will also have technicians available onsite for car seat inspections and installations.

Come out and spend the day with us to become educated and ensure that your knowledge and skills are ready for any emergency at home and at work!

CCFD E-451 working with BC-138, E-41, OES-422, D-2 and WT-44 from San Bernardino County Fire along with E-7372 and E-1605 from Bureau of Land Management Fire on a mutual aid incident involving a 100x100 mulch pile on fire near the solar fields in Twentynine Palms.

CCFD has some new Lieutenants cruising around town!🚒🚒🚒

Huge congratulations to Firefighters John Hart and Jason Guzman on their recent promotions to Lieutenant!!!

Both of these men have put in the hard work, time and effort to achieve this success and place themselves in a position that is considered one of the most important and valuable rolls of the fire service!
They bring many years of fire experience, knowledge and wisdom and we look forward to watching them succeed in their new rolls as Lieutenants.

They were honored and pinned with their bugles and badges by their family, as well as presented with their new shields!

Gentlemen, from your family here at CCFD, we wish you both the ultimate success in your new positions and achievements!

Keep an eye out for them driving the fire engine around base and out in town!

In lieu of International Firefighters Day, we would like to highlight and honor our CCFD personnel for their dedication, commitment and sacrifices that they make to protect those who defend America!
Day in and day out, our firefighters give their all to protect and serve our installation and it’s local communities!

Congratulations to these gentlemen on completing their one year probation!

A firefighters first year is a year they’ll never forget. Long hours, extensive training, testing and all, these men proved themselves and succeeded in each step of the process!

Firefighter Barrett started his career path early as a fire explorer. Making his way through college, working as an EMT and reaching the ultimate goal of becoming a firefighter, his dream became reality! He brings a strong passion for the job, experience and a great sense of humor!

Firefighter Sperry began his career serving in the United States Navy. Holding the position of Second Class Petty Officer, he accomplished two tours overseas prior to returning home to become a federal firefighter. From protecting our country to protecting those who defend America, we are thankful for his service to our country and are honored to have him be a part of our fire department!

Both of them were presented with new helmet shields and pinned with their badges by their families!

We congratulate and wish you both a successful career here with your new family at Combat Center Fire!

Yes it’s true…firefighters do rescue cats as well!

This afternoon your CCFD was dispatched to a public service call for a cat stuck in a storm drain.
Upon arrival, firefighters managed to crawl into the man hole and rescue “Luna” the cat from the drain below. She was reunited with her owners and thankfully she wasn’t injured during the incident!
