From first jobs to new careers, every opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow can help shape a stronger future.

Today, we’re celebrating the people behind the work. ❤️💙

This September, we’re encouraging Veterans, service members, military families, caregivers, friends, and community members to check in on the people around them.

Someone may be going through more than they’re letting on. You don’t have to know exactly what to say or have all the answers.

Ask. Listen. Stay connected. Be there.

A simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door to an important conversation.

Conversation tips and resources adapted from the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) and its resources.

Join Veterans Football Mondays, every Monday 5:30 PM for a 12-week flag football program designed for military veterans at Cal State Fullerton.

Come out for 45 minutes of drop-in flag football, then refuel, hang out, and catch the NFL with fellow veterans. It’s a chance to play, sweat, and connect in a relaxed, community-focused environment.

Participants will also be asked to sign in for attendance, complete brief surveys at three timepoints, and may be invited to share their experiences with the research team following the program.

Now, it could be your organization’s turn.

Complete the 2025 OCVMFC Community Impact Report Survey by September 18 for a chance to be one of two organizations selected to receive a $500 grant.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we come together in remembrance of the lives lost, the families forever changed, and those who stepped forward to serve and protect our nation.

Orange County Veterans & Military Families Collaborative (OCVMFC) invites all faith-based organizations, houses of worship, and communities of faith across Orange County to join us in a Moment of Silence and Prayer on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Let us pause together to remember, reflect, pray, and honor those who made sacrifices for our communities and our country.

Pray for them.
Stand with them.
Support them.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜

This month, we’re holding space for those who are struggling, healing, grieving, supporting someone they love, or finding their way forward.

Su***de prevention starts with compassion, connection, and being willing to reach out. You don’t have to have the perfect words—sometimes simply letting someone know “I’m here” can make a difference.

Let’s remind one another: you are not alone, and you matter.

📞 Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
