We are proud to recognize Greg Motes, a 1979 Deshler graduate whose remarkable career demonstrates the opportunities available through technical education and the skilled trades.

After graduating from Alabama Aviation and Technical College in 1981 with training in Avionics Technology, Greg began a career that has spanned 44 years. His work has supported helicopters transporting employees to offshore oil and gas platforms in Louisiana, as well as emergency medical helicopters operating throughout the United States.

Greg has witnessed avionics transform from analog systems, where one wire performed one function, to advanced digital systems where one wire can perform thousands. His success reminds our students that careers in technology require skill, adaptability, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
