After 50 years of dedicated services to the Douglas County community, RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness is sad to announce it will be closing its services. Clinical operations will conclude on May 22, 2026 and a full organizational transition on June 30, 2026.
This decision comes after thoughtful consideration by the Board of Directors and leadership, reflecting both operational realities and a commitment to responsible, ethical care. There was a sincere effort made to find a path forward that would allow services to continue. However, due to ongoing funding and staffing challenges, RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness determined that closing is the most responsible way to honor its commitments, to clients, to staff, and to the community.
Our priority remains, as it always has, to the people in our care. We are focused on ensuring our clients are supported during this transition and that no one has to navigate this alone.
Over the coming weeks, RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness is working closely with clients to provide individual support, including referrals and coordination with other trusted providers. This process is being approached with intention and honoring the relationships that have been built over time.
RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness will continue to operate following the end of clinical services to allow leadership time to focus on administrative responsibilities to ensure all obligations are fulfilled.
While this chapter is coming to a close, the impact of the work will continue. The care that happens does not live within the organization itself but within the people we’ve had the privilege of serving throughout the years. RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness extends deep gratitude to its clients, staff, partners, and community members who have been part of the work over the years.
It has been a privilege to walk alongside this community, and RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness is committed to closing in a way that reflects the heart of our mission.
