This Labor Day, we honor and appreciate the hardworking individuals and families who keep West Alabama moving forward every day.

For many local families, wages simply do not stretch far enough when unexpected medical expenses, car repairs, or rising grocery costs hit. Nobody should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.

We are proud to work alongside our community partners to provide emergency food assistance with dignity and care.

If you or a neighbor needs food support, visit westalabamafoodbank.org/find-food. To help us support local working families, make a tax-deductible gift at westalabamafoodbank.org/donate.

Today is National Food Bank Day, and we are celebrating the incredible heart of West Alabama! ๐ŸŽ

Hunger relief is not something we do alone. It happens because of dedicated warehouse volunteers, local retail partners, agency food pantries, and generous neighbors who show up consistently for our community.

As we head into the fall season, the need across our rural and urban communities remains significant.

Help us keep our shelves stocked and ready to serve. Visit westalabamafoodbank.org/donate to make a contribution, or share this post to help spread the word!

Nutritious food is essential at every stage of life, yet many older adults in our community face impossible choices between buying medicine, paying utilities, or buying groceries.

Through our Senior Box Program, we deliver boxes packed with nutritious food to seniors experiencing food insecurity across West Alabama, giving them the dietary support they need and the dignity they deserve.

We couldn't do this without your continued generosity. Help us care for the seniors who built our communities by donating today at the link in our bio.

Breakfast for dinner, anyone? ๐Ÿฅž A warm stack of pancakes is a comforting, kid-friendly favorite that brings the whole family around the table.

Right now, weโ€™re running low on these simple, shelf-stable staples. We want to ensure every family in West Alabama has what they need to make easy, filling meals - whether it's for a busy morning or a fun breakfast-for-dinner night!

Next time youโ€™re at the grocery store, please consider grabbing a box of "just add water" pancake mix, a bottle of syrup, and some chocolate chips to donate. Drop them off at our warehouse this week to help us stock the shelves and support our community!

Thank you for always showing up for your neighbors! ๐Ÿ’›

For many of our neighbors in rural areas, the nearest grocery store is over 25 miles away. This lack of access makes putting fresh, healthy food on the table a daily struggle.

Our Mobile Pantry bridges that gap by delivering truckloads of fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples directly to communities facing limited food access across West Alabama.

You can be the hope on wheels for these families.

As kids head back to school across West Alabama, we need to make sure they have the fuel they need to learn and grow. But for many students, the weekends mean missing out on reliable meals. Our Backpack Meals program bridges that gap, providing kid-friendly, nutritious food to take home on Friday afternoons.

Help us ensure no child in our community goes hungry this school year. For $140, you can help provide one child a meal every weekend for the entire school year! Click the link below to donate today!
