Cadets of the THS JROTC conducted Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) at Camp Shelby, MS. May 25-29. The training consisted of land navigation, water/canoe operations, and the Leadership Reaction Course with a visit to the Armed Forces Museum. There were 285 total cadets from across the state organized into 3 companies. We are extremely proud of our cadets' leadership performance with KeLan Foster being one of three selected as Best Overall Cadet, in addition to being recognized with the Commander's Pin. Laliyah Ivy selected as Best Female Company Cadet. Malaya Smith and Camden Hester were awarded the Commander's Pin for their outstanding leadership within their company. THS JROTC continues to set the high water mark for leadership, discipline and high personal/professional conduct.
