On Friday, May 8, Atmos Energy will begin construction work near the intersection of North Green and Main Street. There will be no through traffic allowed starting at 6 a.m., and work is expected to continue throughout the afternoon. Atmos Energy remains focused on its vision to be the safest provider of natural gas services, and this system modernization work demonstrates a continued investment in safety, innovation, environmental sustainability, and our communities.

Traffic cones, barriers, and signage will be visible, and residents may notice construction crews and equipment in the area shown on the map below.

Atmos Energy customers will not experience any service interruption while the work is being performed, and city staff, public officials, 911 operators, and emergency responders have been advised.

In celebration of America Recycles Day, we are excited to be partnering with Goodyear again on a FREE TIRE RECYCLING DAY!

Please take this opportunity to rid your yard, neighborhood, and community of unwanted tires for FREE!

If you or a group would like to help with this event, please message us. We need volunteers to collect prior to and the day of as well as load tires that morning. Come workout with us and sling some tires!
