The City of Tupelo and the Tupelo Garden Club recognized National Garden Week with a proclamation at Tuesday night's Tupelo City Council meeting. Tupelo Garden Club members Doyce Deas, Ann Godwin and Rosanne Roberts attended the Council meeting, read the proclamation and told the Council and audience members about the club's accomplishments in the last year and plans for 2027. Mayor Todd Jordan signed the proclamation in his office with Holly Walker and Tricia Cockrell in attendance prior to Tuesday night's meeting.

Mark Hudson (center) was honored for his five years of service at Cadence Bank Arena and Conference Center at Tuesday night's Tupelo City Council meeting. Hudson was given his certificate by Mayor Todd Jordan and was joined at the meeting by Cadence Bank Arena and Conference Center Director Kevan Kirkpatrick.

Jefferson Street from North Church Street to 535 West Jefferson Street (Pegues Funeral Home) will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 11, while Tupelo Water and Light crews repair a sewer line. No through traffic will be allowed and the section will be reopened when work is complete.
