BURGLARY INVESTIGATION – COUNTY ROAD 5111

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department received a report on September 10, 2026, regarding a burglary that occurred on County Road 5111.

A family member arriving at the residence observed a black, older-model Chevrolet Tahoe, believed to be approximately a 2005 model, leaving the residence and traveling south on County Road 5111.

The vehicle was described as having the words “FAT CHICKS ONLY” written on the rear glass. The witness reported that the vehicle was occupied by two large white males with long beards.

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this vehicle and/or the individuals involved.

🚨Blue Steel Challenge 2026🚨

Registration is now open for the 22nd Annual Crime Stoppers Blue Steel Challenge, taking place October 10, 2026, at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center.

Registration for competition events is open to law enforcement officers only. Reserve, auxiliary, and retired officers are also welcome with agency credentials.

This year’s event will include handgun, shotgun, patrol rifle, and obstacle course competitions, along with trophies, prizes, and giveaways.

Crime Stoppers of North East Mississippi and the Tupelo Police Department need your assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for Grand Larceny.
On 7/12/2026, a report was filed with the Tupelo Police Department pertaining to a stolen wallet from a gas station on South Green Street. Surveillance footage from the business shows the possible suspect to be a black male wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a black toboggan.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of NE MS @ 800-773-TIPS (8477) or download the P3 Tip App to leave a tip. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000.00 cash for a tip that leads to an arrest. Remember Crime Stoppers does not want your name just your information.

Mr. Jerry Reno from Tippah County couldn’t attend our Annual Appreciation Luncheon so he was presented with the Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi Board Member of the Year award during the monthly meeting tonight. Congratulations to Mr. Reno and thank you for your contributions and service to Northeast Mississippi.

The Annual Crime Stoppers Appreciation and Awards Luncheon was held today, in Tupelo. Numerous area Law Enforcement Agencies as well as City and County Government officials were in attendance. Sheriff Jim Johnson from Lee County served as the keynote speaker, addressing Human Trafficking in Northeast Mississippi.
