Brown Funeral Home in Gloster,Tues.1/10.
Visitation 11-1pm,service to follow at 1pm.

David Godbold just called and told me that Mike Varnado has died.One of his daughter found him we think at his home in Gloster.
David said if he found out any details/arrangements he would let me know.I will then send out another post.Please keep his two daughters in your thoughts and prayers.

FYI:Was listening to the Paul Gallo program this morning
on Super Talk radio and effective Dec.1st new wage and hour regulations go into effect.The exempt status will go to either $45,700 or 47,500 (can not remember which is correct) but one can go to the EEOC federal website and see this and other info.Right now,as I understand; from the radio program Mississippi has jointed some other states in a suit but the judge has already indicated that he was not looking at ruling in favor of these states and going against what EEOC has recommended .This ruling will not help us that have retired but the ones still working;it should be of great benefit.If one is making less than the amount listed above ( which is probably all the individual/local park employee) the state will be required that if one works overtime then they "will have to" give the employee time and a half for the extra hours worked in compt time with a limit on hours and after the limit one will be off until the hours are within the guidelines.States can give compt time but others must pay actual money.If one has the 'Super Talk" app. on their phone you can pull it up and listen to the broadcast ( it is discussing other issues also) to get details that I can not recall at this time.It is my hope that these new ruling will benefit the Managers,Asst.Managers and Rangers (plus others) that have had to work extra hours,extended days without any off day,etc.Pass this on to the ones still working that may not be on the page.Maybe one day park employees will be treated like they are worth something instead of just a PIN number.Still much love for all of you.

Received word about an hour ago that his son Win has passed away.Please keep Eddie in you prayers.Eddie does not do Facebook.If you want to call or text him the number is 662-791-9286.I have found out it is best to text.If you want to send a card or note send it to my address and I will make sure he gets them.My

Well as usual we need prays. Just talked with Charlotte Marlin Laird (clerk at Tishmingo).Her husband Robert is the Maintenance Supervisor at Coleman.Charlotte has found out she has breast cancer.Will not no the severity until next week.Also Robert was fixing to retire and now will continue to work.Please keep Charlotte and Robert in your prays.I will try to keep everyone updated.
Also talked with Eddie Williams today and no major change with Win just getting worst by the day if not hour.Please pray for Win,Eddie,Robert,Charlotte,Jane,Peggy and others we may not be aware of.

FYI: "Reference Eddie Williams and his son Win"
They moved Win out of CCU last week but had to move him back on Tuesday. Today Eddie texted me and said u know the saying about the light at the end of the tunnel;he said he could see the train lights and felt like the train was fixing to run over him.He also told me that the doctor had the end of life talk with him today.Win has been unresponsive since last week.
Please continue to lift Eddie and Win in your prays.His shoulder are and have carried the load so long I do not know how he can keep at the pace he is going.I know it is only by the grace of God.
If u feel led to do it Eddie would probably appreciate a short phone call or text (662-791-9286).
Again prays are welcomed and surely needed.

It seems like all that has been posted is sickness,death,etc. (bad news). Well for some good news.Former Park Manager Charles Carlisle is now
"Doctor Carlisle".Congrats go out to Charles on completing this educational milestone at the spring graduation of JSU.

Donald Campbell send me a text yesterday (Monday)
that Mrs.Jane Bard who worked at Trace Park for many years has had a stroke.She is in a nursing home in New Albany.Do not know any other details like is it for rehab,extended stay or what.Please keep Mrs.Jane and her family in your prays.

FYI:Update on Win Williams (Eddie's son)
Win has been in urgent care at hospital since about Thursday night.He seems to be getting worst and real
lethargic.His cough is worse and X-rays showed spots on his lungs.They did a biopsy and that caused a bleedout.Report on biopsy should come back Monday with previously scheduled brain scan for
Wednesday.
We all need to send up some strong prayers for Win and Eddie,as his sons only caregiver.

In addition I read in the Clarion Ledger today (Sunday's obits) where Mrs Helen Rays husband had passed away.Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
