Summer is upon us and time for vacations and family time. We will be taking a break for the summer months and reconvene after Labor Day. We will be attending the annual Triton Hose Co parade on July 31 st and all Cadets are invited to show thier Cadet Pride. Another year of Great things done by our Cadets !!

Last night the Cadets learned how to set up and safely operate the airbags, the controller and learned about the weights that can be lifted and height of the lift for each bag.

Northmoreland Township Volunteer Fire Company

The Cadets sharpened their skills this past Wednesday continuing with knots. They are proficient with clove hitches, square knots, half hitches, bights and figure 8’s. And the next level is securing tools and practicing hoisting tools combining ropes for longer hauls and the use of the tag line. “No new scratches were made on the Ladder during this drill”. Great job Cadets and their attention to details.

A special shout out to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and Chief McMickens for spending the evening with our Cadets and explaining her roles and showing them the cruiser. After the training Chief McMickens shared a snack with the Cadets and passed out coloring books and crayons. Thanks to Sheriff Roberts for facilitating the visit and supporting our youth.
