es:
Respect & Admiration for Nature - We value the diversity and resilience of nature and treasure its beauty. Nature sustains and renews us, provides unexpected moments of joy, and inspires our daily work. Inspiring Action - We believe that every person can make a positive difference. Through education, personal discovery, and transformational experiences, we foster a conservation ethic for current and future generations. Passion and Commitment - We are committed to nature and the community. We share our passion with others to connect people with nature. We educate and inspire people to appreciate, learn and teach others about the benefits of a strong connection to the natural world. Credibility - We bring expertise, sound science, long-term thinking, and community knowledge to solve pressing and important environmental challenges. Our personal and organizational integrity serves as a foundation for our work. Teamwork - We work together to embrace opportunities and challenges in an ever-changing world. We encourage creativity, innovation, and action while respecting individual points of view. People and Community - We cherish our role within the Tulsa community as a leader in ecology and the environment. We support the community's desire to foster respect and connection with the natural world for everyone. We take seriously the need to help establish a connection with nature among those who have had limited opportunities in the past. Four Key Goals:
CONNECT - Connect more people with nature - satisfying all types of interests and experience levels of the community. EDUCATE - Increase the number of people we educate by expanding the number of programs offered, with primary emphasis on children. DEMONSTRATE - Demonstrate that the health of ourselves, the community, and the environment is tied to our understanding, interaction, and respect for the natural world. GROWTH & CONTINUITY - Develop and administer staff, membership, volunteer, fundraising, and marketing plans that will allow Oxley to reach the goals set forth here.
