1-279 Infantry

1-279 Infantry 7520 W. 41st Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107 The 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment is headquartered in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

It is a part of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard. The 279th Infantry saw action during World War II and the Korean War as part of the 45th Infantry Division and again in Afghanistan and Iraq as part of the 45th Infantry Brigade.

In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the 1st Battalion 279th Infantry, Oklahoma National Guard is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities.
