This young man is Christopher Keen, in the fourth grade at Tisdale Fine Arts Academy. He is a member of the 100 Black Men of Tulsa’s (100BMOT)“Mentoring Group” at Tisdale.

Pastors Jeremiah and Velvet Watts of Crown of Life Ministries, supporters of Families with Sickle Cell, and the 100BMOT, provided this young man and his family with Christmas Gifts that made a late Christmas worth waiting for.

This type of Love and rewarding is what the 100BMOT and their collaborating partners are all about. This young man and his family were truly deserving!

“This morning at Gathering Place, young men from the 100 Black Men of Tulsa, Inc. got the opportunity to fish with officers from the Tulsa Police Department. The young men also received fishing poles.”

“Thank you to all of the officers like Donnie Ray Johnson and community leaders like Larry Harris and Milton III Dean that helped us to make this happen!”

TPS has lots of things to work on. I advocate for transparency, accountability, and community collaboration. A collection of TPS parents and community leaders volunteered time to help our district formulate this bond. Thank you all for your time and effort. Tulsa, our students need the resources that will be available from this bond. We have to hold the district accountable to making responsible choices in so many areas. The School Board will have to do their job when it comes to votes about spending. With the continued loss of students, so goes the money. Our children deserve this opportunity to be prepared for a better future. It's simple, VOTE YES, June 8th!!!

Police Community Program

The program’s focus is to solicit youth’s views on how they want the police to enter act with them. Our mentees have participated in 3 of 5 sessions to this date.

The program’s input will be submitted to our Police Chief to hopefully effect change in police interactions with youth.
