After 19 years with CAP Tulsa, THE John Dodd is retiring, and his impact will continue long after his last day.

On Tuesday, our ECDC Reed school and employees from our former Eastgate location celebrated and said, “so long for now."

Employees expressed how John has been so much more than a supervisor. He’s been a mentor, a friend, and truly a CAP Tulsa legend. Over the years, he has touched countless lives with his kindness, guidance, humor, and dedication.

Thank you, John, for everything. May your next chapter be packed with happiness, rest, and adventure! 💚

Our Sand Springs families and staff got an up-close look at why clean air matters yesterday. 🫁💛

The American Lung Association in Oklahoma joined us for a special family engagement event, sharing tools and knowledge about the real impact of to***co and ni****ne on our lungs. Seeing the difference between healthy lungs and those exposed to to***co made quite an impression!

Thank you to the American Lung Association for investing in our community and helping us champion to***co and ni****ne-free spaces.

This , NeighborWorks America and its network partners (including CAP Tulsa 😊) are celebrating the power of investment in housing and economic development. 🏠 🎉

This year’s theme is “Creating Homes, Building America” to reflect the belief that when we invest in housing, we invest in people. And when people thrive, communities thrive.

We are excited to highlight Growing Together, a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring Tulsa families in the Kendall-Whittier area have access to housing that supports learning, health, and opportunity.

The Kendall-Whittier Neighborhood Trust’s portfolio has grown to 35 units. The rent for these homes is dramatically lower than the market rate, providing affordable housing to Kendall-Whittier residents and encouraging neighborhood retention.

We love partnering with organizations that help the Tulsa community thrive! 💚

Earlier this month, our McClure families came together for a fun-filled field day! ☀️

Our children and families enjoyed game stations, face painting, bubbles, snow cones, snacks, and so many special moments together. 💚

A big thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for creating such a fun and memorable experience! ✨

We had some very special guests at our ECDC Reed location last week! Tulsa Area United Way Campaign Chair Maureen Wilson and Chase Mowery from TAUW stopped by and we were happy to show our early childhood education program in action! We loved getting to talk about how United Way funding helps provide emergency assistance and essential services for families right here in our community. We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Tulsa Area United Way! 💚
