The Government Shutdown is affecting a number of vital services, including the Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program at the Broken Arrow Armed Forces Reserve Center.
The Marine Corps League's Albert E. Schwab Detachment 857 answer is "Improvise, Adapt, Overcome!".
Our Detachment is delivering donation boxes and registering donation sites until the Marine Corps Reservists are allowed back at their duty stations to carry on their good works.

Fox23 News (Tulsa, OK) segment on a recent ceremony for Northeast Oklahoma WW II Marine Veteran Joe Ihle. Joe is 103 years old, and was in the 2nd wave at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
Schwab Detachment 857 in Tulsa anticipates Joe being the oldest Marine in attendance at this year's 250th Marine Corps Birthday Ball being held 01 Nov 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center in Tulsa.

Joe Ihle was awarded a commendation in Bristow by the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps. Ihle just turned 103 years old and served at the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.
