April 28, 2026

In early February, the Turley Fire Department Board reached out to our community for support in gathering signatures for a petition to place Title 19 and a proposed merger with Berryhill Fire Department on the ballot. We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the Turley community, Turley Fire & Rescue, and every volunteer who stepped forward. Our officers and firefighters put their own lives on pause to gather signatures and advocate for the future of this department, and we are grateful for their dedication.

However, the Berryhill Fire Department Board voted not to move forward with the resolution presented by Chief Hall. Because of this, the petition we circulated can no longer be used. It required Berryhill Fire Department to act as the sponsor for the Title 19 Fire District, and without their involvement, the petition is now void.

We also want to thank Chief Hall, Captain Tumleson, and the Berryhill crew for their support throughout this process. At this time, we do not have a finalized plan for what comes next, but we are exploring every option to secure funding and continue serving the Turley community. We will share updates as soon as we have them.

Sincerely,

The Turley Fire and Rescue Board

Hey Turley Community, heads up for some serious weather today.
The latest NWS outlook shows elevated tornado threat, baseball size hail possible, and winds up to 70mph rolling in late afternoon into overnight. That orange "enhanced" risk covers well around Tulsa county.

Stay weather aware:
- monitor forecasts
- have multiple ways to get warnings
- make sure your severe weather plan is ready.

If you hear sirens, be sure to head to your safe spot and stay put till it passes.
The Turley Fire station is NOT a public tornado shelter. The nearest public tornado shelter for the Turley area is O'Brien Park.
Stay safe out there. 🌩️⚠️
