🎨🌈 Artist Spotlight: Scott Goodpaster 🌈🎨

Scott Goodpaster’s work reflected extraordinary care, patience, and precision. His technique required the careful application of multiple thin layers of paint, with invisible brushstrokes and detailed drawing that revealed the essence of each subject while concealing the artist’s hand. Through this quiet mastery, Scott created work filled with depth, beauty, and presence.

We at Oklahomans for Equality are deeply saddened by the loss of Scott Goodpaster. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Scott was not only a talented artist, but also a passionate and engaged community member who was deeply loved by many. He generously submitted two pieces to MOREcolor 2026, and we are honored to share his work as part of this year’s exhibition. These pieces will hold a special place within the show as a tribute to his creativity, talent, and lasting impact on our community.

✨ Scott Goodpaster’s work will be featured in MOREcolor 2026 at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.

🎨🌈 Artist Spotlight: Diana Witty 🌈🎨

Hello! I’m so excited you are reading my artist’s bio! I live to bring beauty, Love, peace, and caring to the world. I present myself with sparkle and shine and laughter into this World. I’ve always drawn and painted, even if at first it was through the world of crayon and coloring books. This evolved into pen and ink and large-scale pencil and grid drawings. But alas, to make a living, I turned to Nursing and became an RN I worked in major medical centers in Dallas and Kansas City, MO, in ICUs, CCUs, oncology, and renal dialysis, home health and finally Stroke Rehabilitation and Case Management that landed me back in Tulsa, where I was born. This was over a span of 33 years. After both my parents and my older brother, Michael, died, I began painting in earnest, to listen to my muse, she calls me, and I couldn't resist.

She quiets, and I am in sorrow. The successes I share with her, when I fail, I’m never alone, she whispers…it’s the Journey…you can’t fail…it’s a beast that can’t be tamed, that never dies, but can only be accessed, bring comfort, beauty, belonging, love of nature and wild things and peace into this World. You’re alive, be alive. May Peace be with you, and joy and laughter, and music

✨ Diana Witty's work will be featured in MOREcolor 2026 at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.

🎨🌈 Artist Spotlight: Cheryl Capps Roach🌈🎨

I am a lifelong Tulsan growing up in a four generational home. I spent many hours of my childhood sketching and drawing and exploring different avenues of creativity. I had a long career as a social worker in Tulsa but during those years, I yearned to create. I eventually focused on my art education in drawing and painting, and subsequently turned my art practice into a full-time career. In addition, I developed an adult art education program, and I teach at various art programs in and around the Tulsa area.

I am married with one adult son, and I enjoy days of creative solitude in my art studio with my quirky dog, Cara June, curled up by my side.

🎨🌈 Artist Spotlight: Susan Cram 🌈🎨

Susan Cram creates vibrant mosaic artworks using vintage jewelry and found objects, transforming guitars, masks, and steer skulls into intricate sculptural pieces. Each work develops intuitively, resulting in one-of-a-kind designs that celebrate transformation, music, and memory.

Inspired by her deep connection to music and the creative community, Cram’s work reflects rhythm, transformation, and storytelling through objects that already carry their own history.

Her work has appeared in exhibitions and events including Royce Myers Gallery's ICONS, Liggett Studio, Living Arts’ Champagne & Chocolate, the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Artini fundraisers, and numerous art shows throughout the Tulsa

🎨🌈 Artist Spotlight: Carrie Silverhorn 🌈🎨

Carrie Silverhorn is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work blends bold visual storytelling with cultural depth and modern edge. Of Native American and Irish heritage, her creative voice is rooted in resilience, symbolism, and the power of identity. Through Silverhorn Designs, Carrie creates striking brand identities, illustrations, and visual concepts that carry both strength and soul. Her style moves fluidly between vibrant color, clean design, and expressive imagery—often celebrating empowerment, independence, and unapologetic authenticity.

Carrie’s work is guided by the belief that design is more than aesthetics—it’s communication, connection, and legacy. Each project reflects intentional craftsmanship and a commitment to helping individuals and brands stand confidently in their own story.
