Today Deputy Bransford and Cpl. Gonzales spent time at the Tulsa Fire Museum along the parade route of the Route 66 Capital Cruise. First a great big congratulations to the City of Tulsa for achieving the World Record for largest parade of classic cars.

It was so great seeing so many people come by and see so many people from all over the United States. Thank you to the Tulsa Fire Museum for inviting us for being apart of the touch-a-truck event.

This past week our Community Policing Unit was extremely active and engaged in the Tulsa region. Deputy Peters, Deputy Lewis, and Cpl. Gonzales each serve as School Resource Officers but that is truly just a fraction of their daily duties.

Deputy Lewis joined Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larson and other community partners on a weekly radio program that discusses safety awareness and crime trends impacting citizens. She was later seen buying a meal for a citizen who was struggling with housing insecurities and passing out nutritious snacks to those facing food insecurities. She also was backing patrol deputies out in the field.

Deputy Peters spent time at a community event hosted by Tulsa Public Schools and spoke to teenagers about safe driving from Liberty Public Schools. He was also meeting with community leaders preparing for back to school events. He too was backing patrol deputies out in the field.

Cpl. Gonzales attended a community lunch hosted by the Safe Neighborhoods Coalition. The topics of discussion were helping youth get plugged into positive relationships and helping individuals financially struggling find some relief. He too would assist patrol deputies, work with civil deputies, work with the Family Safety Center and serve the elderly population.

These are not just photo opps but a mere glimpse into the daily activities of a Community Policing Unit that is very driven by citizen care and compassion.

🚨 R**e Arrest 🚨

In the early morning hours of May 27, deputies responded to a Tulsa-area hospital after a woman reported she had been sexually assaulted.

The victim and her friend told deputies they met 41-year-old Stanton Shaw at Pretty Water Lake the day before. After spending time at the lake, they decided to stay overnight at Shaw’s camper, located in the 4100 block of 209th West Ave, Sand Springs.

The victim stated she woke up during the night to Shaw sexually assaulting her. Investigators say she had injuries consistent with trying to fight him off.

Deputies arrested Shaw last night. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of First-Degree R**e AFCF.

This is an arrest, not a conviction.

Sheriff Vic Regalado and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office wants to extend the sincerest gratitude to all the Gold Star Families and to the service members who gave their lives for our nation and our freedoms.

Today, the Memorial Day Service hosted by the Rotary Club of Bixby was a time pause and honor those sacrifices. Thank you to the City of Bixby and Bixby Historical Society for your contributions in putting this event together. This is an annual event open to all the public.

The speaker this year was Desert Storm Veteran Victor Mendoza. A line from his speech was, “One truth unites us as human beings. Life is fragile.”
