This innovative medical and social-based model of care offers comprehensive, integrated support services for qualifying individuals age 55 and older who prefer to remain living at home, but need support to do so safely. For more information, visit http://www.lifepace.org. LIFE's Vintage Housing
LIFE's Vintage Housing properties provide affordable housing opportunities for individuals 62 and older with low to moderate incomes. Each one or two bedroom apartment rents for below market rates to qualifying individuals. LIFE's 17 Vintage Housing developments can be found throughout Tulsa and the surrounding areas, including Jenks, Owasso, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Coweta, Sapulpa, Collinsville, Glenpool, Bristow, Skiatook and Sand Springs. Join us for an evening of meaningful connection and plenty of fun — dirty sodas, a cheese and w**e station, handcrafted sweet treats, and live Music Bingo with fabulous prizes.

Sandra Bullock recently shared what it was like to care for her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, as he lived with ALS — coordinating nurses, managing his care quietly at his request, and raising her two kids through it all.

That's why we're honored to participate in the Community Conversation Series: Ignite Compassion, hosted by ClarehouseTulsa in partnership with Ok, So Tulsa. We'll be there sharing information, answering questions and connecting with individuals and families who may benefit from our services.

The evening also features powerful, true stories of caregiving, resilience, healing and human connection—stories that remind us we're stronger when we care for one another.

Words matter. Let's retire the word "facility."

Close your eyes and picture a "facility." Sterile hallways. Fluorescent lights. Something clinical and cold — closer to a hospital than a home.

Now picture a "community." Neighbors. Shared meals. Familiar faces. A porch to sit on. A life still being lived.

Same building. Completely different feeling.

When we talk about senior living, memory care, or supportive living, our words shape how residents feel about where they live. They shape how the rest of us feel about aging, too. No one dreams of moving into a "facility." But a "community"? That's somewhere you could picture calling home.

The people who live there aren't cases to manage. They're neighbors, parents, grandparents, friends — still very much part of a community.

Share this if you agree. Words are one of the simplest ways we can change how we talk about aging and care.
