Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, the courage shown and the countless acts of compassion that followed.

Today, we pause in prayer for all those affected by September 11 and honor their memory by continuing to choose mercy, service and love of neighbor.

May we always be people who bring hope in the midst of suffering.

Our new atrium is officially open! 🎉

Earlier this week, we welcomed our first guests into the newly expanded waiting area for The Market at Catholic Charities.

With significantly more seating, our neighbors no longer have to wait in long lines outside before we open. Instead, they now have a comfortable, welcoming place to relax before shopping for groceries. Oklahoma’s heat, cold, rain and everything in between — not a problem anymore!

It’s a simple change that makes a meaningful difference in the way we welcome and care for the people we serve.

More space. More comfort. More dignity. Love Changing Lives.

Speak English? You’re already qualified to make a difference! No second language needed to help someone build their English skills.

Our Adult Education program has an immediate need for volunteer ESL substitute teachers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Broken Arrow at our Ministry of Compassion.

We’re also looking for regular teachers and substitutes for both morning and evening classes as we continue to welcome students eager to learn English and build new opportunities for themselves and their families.

You don’t have to be a professional teacher to make a difference. If you have a heart for helping others learn and succeed, we need you!

Interested in volunteering? Email [email protected] today!

Even through the Oklahoma summer heat, the Catholic Charities garden continues to thrive!

Originally designed in the shape of a cross and visible even from satellite images—our CCEOK garden remains a place where faith, nourishment and creation come together. Plants with biblical significance invite reflection, while vegetables and herbs help provide food for The Market, community meals, and other Catholic Charities programs.

Garden Coordinator Anita Mills, along with about 10 dedicated volunteers, describes the garden’s impact as “soil to soul”—the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits that come from spending time in creation.

Even the weeds are treated with intention: nothing is pulled until it is identified and its purpose is understood. It’s a simple reflection of the way we are called to see the dignity, value, and purpose in every person.

Through heat, changing seasons and constant growth, the garden remains a place to nourish the body, calm the mind and feed the soul.

Love Changing Lives—from the soil up!
