🌧️ 🚗 Heavy rain can lead to temporary roadway flooding. If you come upon standing rainwater on your commute, please find an alternate route while our stormwater system works hard to move that water away. Do not drive around barricades in the roadway.

Confused about how to recycle pizza boxes? We’re here to help!

While the cardboard is recyclable, leftover food residue, liners and small plastic dividers contaminate the recycling stream. To recycle empty pizza boxes properly, make sure they are empty before placing them in the blue cart. If they can’t be recycled, dispose of them in the gray trash cart.

Join our Stormwater Quality team at the Butterflies, Birds & Bees workshop to learn more about Crow Creek, one of Tulsa's most visible and central watersheds. We’ll discuss many ways to make a difference in your community, from fostering nature-friendly yards to creating your own pollinator patch!

The workshop is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the Schusterman-Benson Library. This event is free, but be sure to email [email protected] to register by Feb. 21!

Do you know? Central Stoneroller is the largest fish population found in our city’s creeks and streams. We counted 3,726 of these small brown minnows in our streams last year!

These fish can live in highly polluted bodies of water and primarily eat algae, so they are not the best indicator of water quality. However, they are necessary to help improve water conditions in their habitats.

Weather extremes, including freeze-thaw cycles, take a toll on Tulsa’s streets, causing potholes to form. Tulsans can help identify locations for pothole repairs by reporting them through:

Call Customer Care Center at 311 or (918) 596-7777.

Tulsa’s Street Maintenance personnel repair potholes as soon as possible, with a goal of within 72 hours after a report is received. Between 200 and 300 potholes are repaired each day. Street Maintenance crews also make permanent repairs to both asphalt and concrete pavement
