Today, the Tularosa Police Department joins our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that day and recognize the extraordinary courage of the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, military members, dispatchers, and everyday citizens who answered the call to help others.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the unity shown by our nation in the days that followed.

We also remember the first responders and others who later lost their lives or continue to suffer from illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero.

May we never forget those we lost, those who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

25 Years Later. We Remember. We Honor.

🇺🇸 FORGETTING IS NOT AN OPTION. 🇺🇸

Flashing lights ahead? Move over or slow down.

New Mexico’s Move Over Law requires drivers approaching stationary emergency, tow, utility, or highway maintenance vehicles with flashing or hazard lights to safely move into a lane away from the stopped vehicle.

When changing lanes is unsafe or impossible, reduce your speed below the posted limit and proceed with caution.

This law protects police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, tow truck operators, utility workers, and highway crews working alongside our roads. Give them the space they need to do their jobs safely.
