📣 We are currently planning a few herbalist classes to host over spring and late summer.

🌱 The amazing Leslie Lekos is the founder and director of Wildroot Botanicals herbal school.

We would like to know how much interest there is and how many people would attend.

🌼These classes will be FREE to the community.

The topics include:

🌿Learning about local medicinal plants, making products for pregnancy and postpartum. ( baby balm, teas, ni**le salve, baby oil)

🌾 A special class for Birth workers ( doulas, lactation consultant’s, aspiring doulas) learning how to incorporate herbal medicine with birth work.

🌲 A Youth focused class with making herbal salves, immune boosting hot chocolates, cedar or sage bundles.

We are working toward a partnership with Hummingbird Indigenous Doula services. We would love feedback about new programs for our birthing families. Use the QR code or link to register. 👇🏻

Share your thoughts about a new program!

We are looking for pregnant people or parents of young children who identify as Native American or Pacific Islander to participate in virtual talking circles to help develop a new program for our community. This new program, developed by Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services, will serve pregnant American Indian, Alaska Native, and Pacific Islander families in King County and we want to ensure that it is developed with direct input from the community.

The talking circles will take place at the end of March or early April and our goal is to have between 5 and 10 participants per talking circle. We are looking for AIAN, NHPI, and Indigenous birthing people who are pregnant or have given birth in the past two years.

Participants will be provided with a $100 stipend for their participation. The talking circles will take place on Zoom and will be 90-minutes long.

If you are interested in learning more or being considered for a focus group, please fill out our interest form: bit.ly/hifstalkingcircle

Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact Patanjali at [email protected] or Martell at [email protected].
